Create Your Own Summer Workshop
(Elementary School Age)
Art Expressions gives you the opportunity to create your own summer workshop for 5 of your closest friends! The workshops are designed for elementary school aged children divided into two grade/age groups. Each workshop is designed with a particular theme, lasts two hours, and includes all materials. All you have to do is contact Bernie to book a time and date for your workshop, pick the appropriate aged theme, invite five of your closest friends, and provide the location for your workshop…. the total cost is $100. How cool is that for summer fun!

Elementary (Grades K-3) Themes
Choose one of these three themes for your “Create your Own” workshop for grades K-3.
1. Colorful Clowns…
This drawing and painting lesson teaches children that drawing a clown is a matter of drawing shapes. The children will embrace their “inner clown” and have a blast as they paint their clown drawings in vivd colors!
2. Primary Paint “Not so Scary” Scarecrows… Another drawing and painting lesson incorporating mixing paints. A perfect art project which involves creating secondary colors from the primary colors. kKds will be empowered with their ability to make infinite amounts of color…especially brown!

3. “Elmer” the Elephant…
This lesson also emphasizes drawing and painting. The children will draw and decorate “Elmer” the Elephant, cut him out, and then glue him to a colorful background created by the students in watercolors.
Elementary (Grades 4-6) Theme: The Modern Masters
The Modern Masters introduces children to the wonderful world of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Chagall and Matisse. Using famous paintings to understand the artist’s styles, children reproduce their own paintings. These lessons are classic examples of how mixing art history with simple techniques can create the most beautiful works of art that every parent will want to frame! The Fine Print:
* No Materials Fee.
* Extra students (up to three more) can be added to your workshop for $20 each.
* A travel fee of $20 added for distances over 25 miles from Piney Green area.
* Payment due upon registration to secure your "Create Your Own Workshop" and date.
* PayPal or Personal checks accepted.
