"One Point Perspective Drawing" Class (age 9-14 years) 

June 23, 2014 - Monday – 9am until 11am 

Jean Wenner Studio, Council for the Arts, 826 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540... Just across the street from the "Freedom Fountain."  
Cost $25 per artist - Limit 8 young artists.

These lessons are designed to train the eye and hand of the student to draw objects in linear perspective. Students will learn about the horizon line, vanishing point, over-lapping, size progression, convergence, and composition.


Linear Perspective...mathematical system for representing three dimensional objects and space on a two-dimensional surface by means of intersecting lines that are drawn vertically and horizontally and that 
radiate from one point (one-point perspective), two points (two-point perspective), or several points on a horizon line as perceived 
by a viewer imagined in an arbitrarily fixed position. 



Cost is $25 per class per artist 

Class limit: 8 artists (age 9-14) (The roster for this workshop will consist of the first eight names with email address signed in the comments section of this post... extra names will be added in order on waiting list.) 


Students will need the following materials... 

  • Graphite Pencils
  • Box of Assorted Color Pencils
  • Eraser
  • 1 ruler
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Sketch book (approximately 9x12")
