WHAT: "One Fish, Two Fish" Painting Workshop for Kids (age 7-9 years)

WHEN: July 8, 2014  

Tuesday - Noon till 3:00pm  

WHERE: Jean Wenner Studio, Council for the Arts, 826 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540... Just across the street from the "Freedom Fountain."

HOW MUCH: Cost: $30 per student (Includes ALL art supplies) (Payment by personal check or PayPal).

WHAT ELSE: Workshop limited to 10 young artists (The roster for this workshop will consist of the first ten names with email address signed in the comments section of this post... extra names will be added in order on waiting list.) 

Bernie will read "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss to start off this fun workshop. Students will draw out their subjects on canvas and have fun as they paint their colorful fishes.

Emphasis will be placed on the art elements of line, color, value, form, and shape. Young artists will learn:

• Shape based drawing techniques.
• Primary and Secondary Colors and their applications.
• Mixing colors.
• Value
• Form

ALL workshops (except plein air locations) will be held in the Jean Wenner Studio at the Council for the Arts, 826 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540... Just across the street from the "Freedom Fountain."
