WHEN: July 9, 2014 – Wednesday - 10am till 3:00 pm

WHERE: Jean Wenner Studio

HOW MUCH: Cost: $40 per student (Includes ALL art supplies) (Payment by personal check or PayPal).

WHAT ELSE: Workshop limited to 12 artists (The roster for this workshop will consist of the first twelve names with email address signed in the comments section of this post... extra names will be added in order on waiting list.) 

* Students need to bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio.

This painting lesson will highlight the beautiful Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. We will paint in the impressionism style made famous in this city in the late 1800's. In this workshop, students will learn important art elements and skills prevalent in the landscape like:

• Composition and the "Rule of Thirds"
• Linear perspective (horizon line, vanishing point, etc)
• Aerial (atmospheric) perspective 
• Color mixing
• Brushwork
• Value
• Form

Students will walk away from this workshop with a better understanding of "how" to paint a landscape plus their own "Eiffel Tower" masterpiece.

ALL workshops (except plein air locations) will be held in the Jean Wenner Studio at the Council for the Arts, 826 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540... Just across the street from the "Freedom Fountain."
